Since its foundation, the KIfL team has been in touch with various research departments in univerities (e.g. Kiel, Hamburg, Lüneburg, Rostock) and with science centres such as the Research and Technology Centre estcoast and the  Ecology Centre of the Christian Albrechts Univerity at Kiel.

We have been involved s lecturers, as leadersof field trips and excursions as well s associated scientists.

Beyond the traditional paths and methods of nature conservation, we would like to link up research and planning and to contribute to close the gaps between theory and praxis.
